UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School To Celebrate 15 Years of Sustainability Leadership at April 22 Event
Chapel Hill, N.C. (PRWEB) April 01, 2015 -- UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School will celebrate 15 years as a global leader in sustainable enterprise at a special event on April 22.
The Center for Sustainable Enterprise at UNC Kenan-Flagler will host a 15th anniversary celebration featuring a keynote address by Christine Bader, author of “The Evolution of A Corporate Idealist: Ethics, Sustainability and Responsibility in Big Business.”
The Parr Center for Ethics at UNC and the UNC Kenan-Flagler Energy Center are co-sponsors of the event. It begins with networking and hors d'oeuvres at 6:30 p.m., followed by presenting faculty and alumni awards and student honors, and ending with a cake and book signing.
UNC Kenan-Flagler began its focus on the triple-bottom-line approach – measuring success in terms of financial profitability, environmental stewardship and societal well-being – in 1999. It was one of the first business schools to offer a comprehensive curriculum in sustainable enterprise that includes experiential learning, enrichment activities and career development. Today over 550 MBA students have graduated with a concentration in sustainable enterprise and are pursuing a wide range of careers.
