Utah Judge Sued In Federal Court for Alleged Civil Rights Violations

On March 30, 2015, Mr. Anthony Babbitt & Mr. Phillip Willson of Salt Lake City, Utah filed a Civil Rights lawsuit in Federal Court under U.S. Code 42 § 1983, 1985 & 1986 against Judge Mark Kouris of the 3rd Judicial District, State of Utah (case 2:15cv00208).

On March 30, 2015, Mr. Anthony Babbitt & Mr. Phillip Willson of Salt Lake City, Utah filed a Civil Rights lawsuit in the Utah Federal Court under U.S. Code 42 § 1983, 1985 & 1986 against Judge Mark Kouris of the 3rd Judicial District, State of Utah (case 2:15cv00208). The lawsuit filed by Babbitt & Willson alleges bad acts on the part of Judge Kouris, conspiracy and failure of the Utah Judicial Conduct Committee to stop and prevent further abuses of the judicial office by Judge Kouris.

The federal civil rights lawsuit alleges Judge Kouris violated Mr. Babbitt's & Mr. Wilson's constitutional rights to Freedom of Religion, Due Process, and Equal Protection, as well as Ninth Amendment rights. Mr. Babbitt & Mr. Willson claim in the suit that Judge Kouris has ignored evidence and improperly imposed sanctions against them. Judge Kouris has yet to respond.
