Maverik, Inc. partners with Sportsmen for Warriors to raise funds for active duty military, veterans, police, fire, EMS, and their families. Sportsmen for Warriors is a nonprofit organization that provides custom-tailored support, therapy, and recreational activities to help improve the quality of life of our “Warriors.” Maverik Adventure Club Members have the opportunity to donate Trail Points and all customers can round up their change at any Maverik store through April 30, 2015. Maverik, Inc. will match all donations collected throughout the month.
Sportsmen for Warriors’ support is geared toward enriching the lives of the men and women who serve our nation by conducting outdoor recreation retreats, providing opportunities to connect with members of the community, and helping to find quality education and employment.
“The amount of emotional, physical, and mental challenges our Warriors face is indescribable, “said Ben Bateman of Sportsmen for Warriors. “We believe it is our duty to provide the best support possible for the Warriors who make so many sacrifices to protect our freedom. This fundraising effort with Maverik, Inc. allows community members to easily donate their change or Maverik Rewards Trail Points at the cash register. Even the smallest acts of kindness speak loudly when it comes to improving the lives of our nation’s Warriors.”
