Whitmer's Lighting named 2015 Showroom of the Year Finalist

Living up to its Showroom of the Year nomination and community involvement, Whitmer's Lighting is hosting a landscape lighting lunch and learn event this Spring.

Residential Lighting Magazine, the leading lighting trade publication, and the Dallas Market Center, which hosts the bi-annual Dallas International Lighting Market, have selected Whitmer’s Lighting as a 2015 Showroom of the Year finalist. The new Whitmer’s Lighting location in Westlake, Ohio has an atmosphere in their lighting showroom that is as superior in quality as the lights that are sold. The showroom provides the Westlake community with unique lighting that cannot be found in a typical big-box retail store. This award nomination honors North America’s top lighting retailers. Criteria for selection includes superior quality in merchandising display, customer service and engagement, employee education and motivation, community involvement and more.

Living up to its Showroom of the Year nomination and community involvement, Whitmer's Lighting is hosting a landscape lighting lunch and learn event this Spring. In addition to a free catered lunch, those in attendance will leave with a landscape lighting buying guide by application, a project matrix to help them right-size their landscape lighting plan, and most importantly one-on-one expert tips to give guidance to their landscape design questions.

The event is held at the Whitmer's Lighting Westlake showroom on Wednesday April 29, 2015, from 12:00 - 1:00. Registration opened April 1, 2015 and is limited to 30 attendees in order to keep an intimate atmosphere and better answer individual lighting needs and questions. The event is hosted while the showroom is closed to the general public allowing for attendees to browse the lighting selection and takes away any purchasing pressure.

Depending on community involvement and participation, Whitmer's Lighting plans to continue community lunch and learn events in advance of the winning showroom selections which will be presented during the Dallas International Lighting Market on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.
