It's Time to Register for Girl Scout Camp in Ohio
(PRWEB) April 02, 2015 -- Girls love camp! And with summer just around the corner, it’s time to start planning your girl’s next big adventure! Join an Ohio Girl Scout council and kick-off a summer of “friends and firsts” she’ll always remember.
Ohio’s Girl Scout councils, serving girls in grades K-12, offer hundreds of outdoor experiences created to spark curiosity and understanding about the natural world. What will your girl do this summer? Maybe she’ll zip line high off the ground, flying freely through the sky. Maybe she’ll make that pin in archery. Or maybe she’ll grab a friend and some paddles to go exploring in a flat water canoe. Whatever she chooses, fun is sure to follow!
With Girl Scouts, she can enjoy the traditional camp outings we all grew up with, while also taking advantage of the amazing variety of contemporary outdoor pursuits that camp offers her, including: rappelling off of a cliff, sleeping in a tent, riding a horse, planting gardens, trying robotics, rowing boats, catching fish, tracking animal prints, designing eco-art projects, and even joining a virtual book club.
Our research shows that exposure to the outdoors is extremely beneficial to girls – they need a place to try new things and be themselves. Camping is a great way for girls to build skills, while they develop a deep appreciation for nature. Whether they go for a day, a week, or longer, Girl Scout camp gives girls an opportunity to grow, explore and have fun under the guidance of caring, trained adults.
And that’s just the beginning! In everything we do, we encourage girls to follow the fun, do what they love, and never back down from a big adventure. It’s never too late to join. Enter your zip code at http://www.girlscouts.org and join your local Girl Scout council today! Help her shine, show her the possibilities, and support Girl Scouts in continuing to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. What are you waiting for? Let's explore!

We’re the Girl Scouts. We’re 2.8 million strong—2.8 million girls and adults who believe every girl can change the world. It began over 100 years ago with one woman, Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low, who believed in the power of every girl. Today, her vision of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place by helping them discover their inner strength, passions, and talents continues. And with programs from coast to coast and across oceans, there’s a chance for every girl to do something amazing. To volunteer, reconnect, donate, or join, visit your local council’s website.
