Our annual benefit gives us the opportunity to reconnect with them each year and share the exciting things that are going on at the LiveBeyond base in Haiti.
Nashville, Tenn. (PRWEB) April 01, 2015
LiveBeyond will host its fourth annual Nashville fundraiser on April 21 at Hutton Hotel. Former Haitian Prime Minster, Laurent Lamothe, is the keynote speaker and will discuss the state of maternal health in Haiti. Musical guests will feature Motown Gospel recording artist, Janice Gaines, and Christian music singer, Jason Crabb, who will perform at the event.
Founders of LiveBeyond, David Vanderpool, MD and his wife, Laurie, sold their home in Brentwood, Tenn. and Dr. Vanderpool’s medical practice, Lave MD, in 2013 to indefinitely move to LiveBeyond's base of operations in Thomazeau, Haiti. LiveBeyond exists to provide medical and maternal care, clean water, ministry opportunities, education, at-risk individual care, orphanage support and agriculture development for one of the poorest communities in Haiti.
The goal of the event is to raise funds to build OB/GYN facility on the LiveBeyond base to provide women in this region with a safe place to deliver babies surrounded by a medical staff with life-saving skills. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go towards building an even more robust Maternal Health program in Thomazeau.
“Nashville is our home away from Haiti,” said Dr. Vanderpool. “Since we established LiveBeyond (formerly Mobile Medical Disaster Relief), the Nashville community has always been some of our most passionate advocates to support our work around the world.”
“Our annual benefit gives us the opportunity to reconnect with them each year and share the exciting things that are going on at the LiveBeyond base in Haiti.”
