Explore the Velasquez exhibition with Google Glass: a unique new Acoustiguide experience
Paris, France and Kfar Saba, Israel (PRWEB UK) 3 April 2015 -- Everyone will be able to explore and appreciate each masterpiece by the great Spanish master via an innovative new experience combining viewing the paintings themselves and a variety of supplementary content (music, videos, images and specific commentaries) accompanying the discovery of each work.
Agnès Alfandari, Vice President of Digital Strategy at Acoustiguide, stresses:
“The major advantage of the glasses is that you can look at the painting itself and simultaneously view or listen to audiovisual content, without this hindering viewing the picture. The glasses are simple to use and so light you completely forget you are wearing them, which enables you to concentrate on the artwork while you are shown its most interesting details.”
The specific viewing experience created by the Acoustiguide team, with the approval of the exhibition’s curator and the Grand Palais, consisted in ensuring a fluid to-and-fro between viewing the picture itself and the Google Glass screen, enriching appreciation and understanding of the artwork.
From the traditional audio guide that has become such an indispensable aid, Acoustiguide has developed a wide choice of offers, content and devices designed for every type of public. At the cutting edge of technical innovation, the aim of the teams led by Israel Gal, the Acoustiguide group’s CEO, is to constantly enrich their digital mediation expertise in order to offer the public an optimum cultural experience.
Agnès Alfandari adds: “Our studies show that new devices do not replace the more traditional ones but enrich our offer while attracting new audiences. We are convinced that specific experiences can be created for everyone, from the most traditional to the most innovative. This is why it’s so important to constantly innovate and offer the widest choice.”
Cultural institutions, working with actors such as Acoustiguide and GuidiGo, who developed the software used by the glasses, now consider, as Roei Amit, Head of Digital Services and Multimedia at Réunion des Musées Nationaux-Grand Palais, emphasizes, that it is vital “to be capable of anticipating and adapting to the public’s constantly and rapidly evolving practices whilst guaranteeing an enriching and relevant experience.”
