Managing a lone worker with the associated legislative responsibilities is a challenge faced by many businesses. Crystal Ball’s solution goes a long way to solving this challenge.
Manchester, Greater Manchester (PRWEB UK) 2 April 2015
Manchester-based B2B software business, Crystal Ball, has won the Mobile News Awards 2015 category of ‘most innovative product’ for its groundbreaking Lone Worker Protection App.
The award was presented at a sell-out ceremony hosted by Comedian Al Murray at London’s Hilton Park Lane Hotel, and attended by more than 800 industry guests, on Thursday 12th March.
Judges commended the Crystal Ball solution for being “Truly Innovative”.
Judges’ comments included:
“Managing a lone worker with the associated legislative responsibilities is a challenge faced by many businesses. Crystal Ball’s solution goes a long way to solving this challenge. The cost of breaching health and safety legislation can be punitive and this innovative solution will help negate such incidents.”
The solution particularly impressed the judges because:
“Smartphones have changed the playing field in the Lone Worker Protection market. There are many players. But not all of them have caught up with the regulatory changes. Crystal Ball has seen this gap and become a leader in developing an industry-grade product and crafting it for its customer channels. ”
Raj Singh, MD at Crystal Ball, said:
“I’m delighted that Crystal Ball’s MobileLWP App has won this award. To be recognised by the mobile industry is a major achievement and is testament to the hard work that the team and our industry partners have put into developing and promoting the product.
The Lone Worker Protection market is gathering pace fuelled in part by an increase in prosecutions for businesses who have failed to meet their Duty of Care responsibilities but also due to better awareness and education being provided around the topic of Lone Worker Protection from the HSE, Health and Safety Professionals and Charities such as The Suzy Lamplugh Trust.“
One important feature of our product that sets us apart is the flexibility that our solution offers customers, providing them with the ability to either manage incidents through our cloud based portal or through a BS 5979 certified Alarm Receiving Centre.
Innovation is at the heart of Crystal Ball’s solutions, as we continually strive to integrate the latest technologies to enhance functionality and improve user experience at an extremely competitive price.”
Four solutions were shortlisted as Finalists for the ‘most innovative product’ category, including another app from the Crystal Ball team: MobileTrack. The two other Finalists in the category were EE for their Buzzard 4G WiFi and Crystalusion for their Liquid Glass Protection.
Other category winners at the award ceremony included HTC (best Smartphone for their One M8), EE (Innovative Service for their Cash on Tap and Best Network) and Lebara Mobile (For best MVNO).
