Greenberg Traurig Tampa Adds Jamie Moore Marcario as Labor and Employment Associate
TAMPA, Fla. (PRWEB) April 01, 2015 -- International law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. has added Jamie Moore Marcario to its Tampa office as an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment practice.
Marcario focuses her practice on labor and employment law, with an emphasis on defending employment discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, and civil rights cases in state and federal courts. She also represents clients before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Florida Commission on Human Relations, and National Labor Relations Board.
“In addition to excellent academic credentials, Jamie has significant private-sector business experience that will provide added value to clients. And, as the seventh former judicial law clerk in our office, Jamie brings that valuable perspective to her practice as well. We are very pleased that Jamie has joined our team,” said David B. Weinstein, Managing Shareholder of the firm’s Tampa office.
Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Marcario defended clients in highly regulated industries, including healthcare, transportation, and aviation. Marcario has significant experience with federal and state regulatory issues governing healthcare clients—e.g., PSQIA, Florida's Amendment 7, HIPAA, HITECH Act, EMTALA, and STARK. She has represented hospitals, physicians, and physician practice groups in medical malpractice, licensure, peer review, breach of contract, and employment disputes.
“Greenberg Traurig is an incredible firm comprised of intelligent, dedicated and authentic people. As a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment team, not only do I have the opportunity to learn from national-caliber lawyers like Pete Zinober and Rich McCrea, I have the chance to use the combination of my regulatory knowledge, litigation skills, and writing experience to assist our clients in smoothly navigating complex legal waters,” Marcario said.
Prior to her legal career, Marcario gained valuable experience in the pharmaceutical industry and subsequently served as the Director of Editorial Services for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
