SCI Solutions CEO Joel French and Northeast Georgia Health System to Present at HIMSS15
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) April 01, 2015 -- SCI Solutions, the health industry’s leading referral management and patient scheduling platform, today announced that CEO Joel French will be a featured speaker at the 2015 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition in Chicago, April 12-16, 2015. French will co-present “Fuel Outpatient Revenue Growth with Better Provider Care Coordination Strategies” with Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) on Thursday, April 16 at 12 p.m. CDT. More than 38,000 healthcare industry professionals are expected at the conference, where they will learn about and discuss health IT issues, and view industry solutions.
As a HIMSS15 co-presenter, Joel French, along with Chris Paravate, chief information officer of NGHS, a not-for-profit community health system with over 600 physicians, will share best practices for electronic and economic integration between hospitals and their community trading partners. The presentation will highlight how NGHS used SCI Solutions’ Provider Network Manager to:
• Make NGHS a referral destination for a care community of 800 physicians across 13 counties
• Achieve streamlined workflows and centralize patient scheduling and pre-registration, eliminating paper and fax system
• Bolster electronic referrals by 70 percent, ensuring all referrals and orders are quickly cleared to convert patients into appointments, patients receive needed services, network leakage is reduced and gaps in care are closed
• Increase point-of-service collections by over 2,000 percent
• Improve overall physician alignment and patient satisfaction
Proposals under review by the Annual Conference Education Committee have gone through a peer-review selection process for enhanced efficiency and quality in selection of the educational offerings at the conference. The HIMSS Annual Conference Education Committee evaluates and selects all candidates with those representing an organization or non-commercial interest given preference, a guideline followed to achieve Continuing Medical Education or CME requirements.
“Northeast Georgia Health System has achieved extraordinary performance improvements by electronically and economically integrating hundreds of providers in its care community. Through use of a unified care coordination platform, NGHS has enabled patient cases to be easily referred, scheduled, cleared by insurance and pre-registered, regardless of the underlying technologies at the source practice or used at their facilities,” said Joel French, CEO of SCI Solutions. “Their revenue growth and provider satisfaction improvements represent a standard to which others should aspire. It is our honor to share lessons learned and practices others can apply to realize improved care coordination outcomes and support a referral destination strategy.”
The HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition ranks as one of the largest health IT gatherings in the world, with more than 300 peer-reviewed education sessions, a 467,000 square-foot exhibit floor and numerous networking events.
“HIMSS is recognized for its quality and relevant programming. At HIMSS15, our speakers will share their expertise during our pre-conference and conference educational sessions,” said JoAnn W. Klinedinst, CPHIMS, PMP, FHIMSS, vice president, professional development, for HIMSS. “I congratulate our HIMSS15 Annual Conference Education Committee that selected our final speakers as well as all presenters who will be part of our extensive and diverse programming schedule.”
