The folks that work at the shelter do a wonderful job of picking the right family for the right pet.

Residents of the Crestview Retirement Community demonstrated their love of pets on March 28 by hosting a pet adoption event with the Aggieland Humane Society. Prior to the event, the community held several internal fund raisers and presented a donation of $587 to the society, along with homemade pet blankets.

"It's a pleasure to be able to support the animal shelter," said Eva Hutton, the community's life enrichment coordinator. She added that the amount is enough to spay or neuter six animals to prepare them for adoption.
