Brightest Young Minds to Compete at Inmar Analytics Forum
Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) April 02, 2015 -- Inmar, a company that operates intelligent commerce networks, today announced that The Wake Forest University (WFU) School of Business Marketing Analytics Summit will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year during the Inmar Analytics Forum. The Summit is the longest-running student-led competition at the School – from planning through execution. In addition to Wake Forest, student teams from other prestigious universities, including Northwestern, The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, Yale and Universidad Panamericana will compete.
Each year during the Marketing Analytics Summit, top student teams participate in a case study competition to provide solutions to real-world marketing situations. This year’s competition will focus on the growing need for marketers to combine data-driven solutions backed by profound human insights. This focus reflects the WFU School of Business and the Center for Retail Innovation’s belief that the ability to provide thorough analysis of marketing and other data will be a key differentiator for graduates entering the knowledge economy.
“The capabilities enabled through data analytics will touch most every area of business, across all industries and disciplines,” says Inmar Chairman and CEO David Mounts. “We must ensure that students emerge from our universities with a sound understanding of this evolving area and are poised to derive maximum benefit,” he said, adding that, “This exercise provides an opportunity to apply classroom learning and team-based creative problem solving to a real-world situation in a competitive setting, which is very much what they will encounter post graduation.”
During the Forum the top three teams from each division of the competition will present their solutions to the attendees of the Inmar Analytics Forum for a chance to win a slice of $45,000 in cash prizes. Learn more at: http://www.marketingsummitlive.com/about/.
"We are excited to bring the competition to the Inmar Analytics Forum this year,” says Tom Blue, this year's Wake Forest student co-chair for the case competition. He adds that “Teams from universities around the world will be competing to present their ideas on how retailers can connect with shoppers through mobile technology."
Admission to the Inmar Analytics Forum is free for manufacturers, retailers, health systems and academia. Those interested in attending can register now online.
