PS&L to Speak On “How to Engage Faculty to Improve Yield” at TACAC Conference
Houston, TX (PRWEB) April 07, 2015 -- At the Texas Association for College Admissions Counseling (TACAC) Annual Conference being held here April 9-11, Paskill Stapleton & Lord (PS&L, http://www.psandl.com), experts in higher education enrollment marketing, will host a session entitled “How to Engage Faculty to Improve Yield.”
During the presentation, Janet Sieff, Manager of Business Development for PS&L, will discuss strategies to engage faculty members as part of the student recruiting process. The presentation will discuss areas where faculty can offer the greatest benefit in student recruiting, how to use faculty as recruiters appropriately, and how to engage with faculty to demonstrate mutual benefit.
“Faculty members can be the most powerful recruiting tool for any college or university,” said Sieff. “Students have a lot of trepidation about their professors and choosing the right faculty to act as mentors can alleviate fears and show students and parents the kind of teaching experience they can expect. Faculty can increase yield rates, if you understand how to engage with them.”
During the session, Sieff will share tactics to engage faculty to improve yield rates and enrollment outcomes. Topics to be covered include how to teach the “elevator pitch” to faculty, community outreach, campus visits, scholarship participation, recruitment training, and other tactics. She also will share strategies on working with faculty to demonstrate the benefits of student recruiting, managing professors’ time as part of the recruiting process, and using faculty to recruit other faculty to participate in the admissions process.
