Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) April 06, 2015 -- Prime 8 Consulting, a leading business and technology consultancy based in the Seattle area, today announced it has expanded its strategic IT practice with an even greater focus on IT methodology and solutions development.
The expansion was fueled by the recent completion of three major projects for a leading Seattle-based e-commerce company – each involving detailed assessment of complex challenges, development of IT strategies to address those hurdles and custom development of solutions to deliver meaningful results.
“At Prime 8, our consultants look deeper into the business issues and opportunities of our clients and then partner with them using a hands on approach to propose and implement innovative solutions that solve for their needs,” said Drew Sharp, CEO of Prime 8 Consulting. “These recent projects are not only great examples of our approach, but they are in exciting areas of IT that help us expand our practice and, therefore, what we can do for businesses of all different types.”
Propelling Prime 8’s IT practice expansion were the recent and successful completion these projects:
• Shipping and Logistics Solution Development – The Prime 8 team worked with the client as it sought to monitor and track confidential research and development technology components across the globe, while also complying with respective import/export regulations of each country involved. Following a robust analysis process of technical discovery, risk assessment and business impact analysis, Prime 8 consultants formulated specific requirements and then integrated with the client to build and deliver a multi-faceted monitoring, shipping and tracking solution. As a result, the client is now able to correctly categorize diverse devices and material, providing accountability, tracking and approvals for global shipping and tracing. This reduced errors, automated data capture, and eliminated the financial risk and public exposure of international trade compliance errors. This has saved the company hundreds of staff hours and delivered increased efficiency across three separate groups in the organization.
• Enterprise Search Development – Following its full process of discovery, technical and risk assessment and business impact analyses, the Prime 8 team built and deployed an elegant and easy-to-use enterprise search solution that solved the client’s need to quickly and securely find structured and unstructured data from multiple repositories across its business from a single search interface. Additionally, Prime 8 was able to deliver this solution without the need for additional user licensing costs or new third party solutions. As a result, end user productivity was improved through increased efficiencies, and corporate compliance for all knowledge was respected and enhanced.
• Subpoena Tracking and Information Management Solution – The Prime 8 team helped the client’s busy corporate legal department develop and launch a highly efficient way to find, assess and share required subpoena information with Federal and State authorities in a timely and complete manner. After a thorough assessment of custom and “off the shelf” options, Prime 8 consultants built a tool that enables seamless gathering of information across the organization, with relevant triggers, flags and approvals included. The client is now able to respond even more rapidly and accurately to authorities than before and has reduced the number of staff needed to perform the manual tasks of data gathering.
“We’re excited that in just the first quarter of 2015 these projects delivering great results for our clients,” said Sharp. “And now our eyes are on the rest of the year, looking forward to new opportunities to bring our unique and highly effective approach to IT to other businesses and situations – helping solve problems, overcome challenges and create business value for the companies we work with.”
