ACME Communications, Inc Selects Indiana Fiber Network, LLC as Middle Mile Transport Provider to Cermak
Indianapolis, Indiana (PRWEB) April 05, 2015 -- Indiana Fiber Network, LLC (IFN), the leading Indiana statewide Network Service Provider announces ACME Communications, Inc (ACME) has selected IFN as their middle mile fiber transport provider. William Richey, ACME’s President and Chief Operating Executive states: “Cermak is an important telecommunication access facility for the Midwest. By working with IFN, ACME gets reliable fiber transport and interconnection options to hundreds of Carriers and Service Providers at 350 East Cermak in Chicago.”
According to Cory Childs IFN Enterprise Sales Manager, middle mile fiber is for wholesale data transport, for service providers. “The middle mile fiber transport supplied to ACME is a good example of what is called Customer Provided Access in the telecommunication industry. Since ACME has access to major providers at Cermak, this provides significant cost savings for their customers,” said Childs.
IFN’s service provider strategy is to provide carrier neutral access for the service provider customers. “ACME’s Fiber Network Service covers over 50 miles of metro area in Michigan City and LaPorte, Indiana. IFN fiber transport service provides ACME with provider diverse transport from their Michigan City data center and upstream provider flexibility,” said August Zehner IFN Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “I am pleased with the transport options IFN offered ACME. It was ACME’s decision on our upstream Internet service providers like Hurricane Electric,” said Richey.
