DEPTH 3D PRINTING Adds High-Resolution Color Output Device
Gardena, CA (PRWEB) April 09, 2015 -- DEPTH, a 3D Additive Manufacturing Service Bureau, announced today that it has acquired and installed a 3D Systems ProJet 660Pro 3D Printer. Offering a CMYK gamut of 16,000,000 unique colors, the ProJet 660 installation makes DEPTH one of the most comprehensive and versatile service providers in the Southern California region.
With its new device in place, DEPTH now offers high-resolution output, including color-correct logos, labels and other design elements printed directly on models, prototypes and other unique items. The ProJet 660 is six to ten times faster than earlier generation output devices, which gives new meaning to the concept of “rapid prototyping”. Net build volume (expressed as “xyz”) is 10” x 15” x 8”, which allows most products to be output in one piece, thus saving time and labor cost.
DEPTH CEO Nathan Nielson suggests “the addition of our ProJet 660 greatly enhances our capabilities and allows us to accelerate our technological presence. The demand for 3D products is exploding, and we’re well-positioned to provide state-of-the-art products and services for the emerging market.”
DEPTH is a division of Presentation Media, Inc. (PMI), a full-service graphic support organization providing computer-generated presentation and technical art, reprographics, multimedia, photographic processing and printing, and large-format displays and exhibits. The creation of PMI’s DEPTH division formalized the company’s seven year history in 3D additive manufacturing.
