Ward-Nasse Gallery Debuts Double Exhibition 'Travellers Tales,' Featuring New Artworks by English Painter John Harrison and American Pop Art Painter Anthony J. Coffey
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 08, 2015 -- Beginning April 9th Ward-Nasse Gallery hosts Travellers Tales, a double exhibition featuring new paintings from acclaimed English painter John Harrison and American pop art painter Anthony J. Coffey. The showing kicks off in earnest with an opening reception on Saturday, April 11th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, and will include appearances by the artists and entertainment by DJ CodeSlicer from inLoop Events.
Travellers Tales features over 20 new paintings and limited edition prints from the artists. The Travellers Tale theme refers to the inspiration both artists found in their own world travels and, according to gallery director Harry Nasse: “How serendipity played a role in the lives of these two unique and innovative artists. Each found a particular way to connect events creatively and perceptively throughout their travels and how it manifests in their art.”
Travel has been a focus for both artists and has honed in particular their abilities to distill into an artistic perspective their observations of the wide world, its peoples and the adventures, understanding and personal stories to be gathered from both.
The Saturday, April 11th opening reception is a highly anticipated affair. In addition to the opportunity to meet the artists, DJ CodeSlicer will provide a program of electronic music entertainment.
