Megalytics is no ordinary tech startup, which is why they were selected as one of five participants of session 2.0 of the elmspring accelerator. Megalytics has emerged from its beta testing phase, and is now live with major institutional real estate clients for their subscription-based, real time credit, due diligence and risk assessment platform. The platform is the most comprehensive in the industry, with over a dozen real time risk components, which can be bundled or unbundled depending on the client requirements.
ElmSpring CEO Thomas Bretz stated, “Most of our start-ups tend to be in the beginning stages of their careers. This is great because there’s so much passion to succeed, and you’re seeing people on the cutting edge of emerging technologies. What I love about Megalytics is the depth of leadership and experience, which is really indispensable to bringing this type of product to market. We’re not talking about a widget, but rethinking the process of analysis underpinning huge investment decisions.”
Donna Salvatore, Megalytics CEO, has a long-established track record of introducing disruptive technologies and processes. “Megalytics empowers commercial real estate property owners and lenders to make better decisions by quantifying the risks inherent in their credit underwriting, tenant risk assessment and portfolio management. Using its proprietary data and scoring algorithms, clients can make sense of the vast pools of data available. We’re able to turn what has been a very subjective process into one that is objective, verifiable and produces relevant, actionable results.”
Donna has assembled an impressive management team and advisory board including Susanne Cannon, former Chairman of the Department of Real Estate at DePaul University; Rebel Cole, Professor of Finance and Real Estate at DePaul and top Google Scholar; David R. Brown, of Harrington Brown and past President of ORIX Real Estate Capital; Dan Reisner, past President of US Bank’s Chicago Region and Stan Schiller, past President & CEO of Tenant Risk Assessment.
Megalytics is poised for a “Mega” impact.
Bretz is eager to help Megalytics prepare to pitch their product to potential investors as well as potential clients. Megalytics is well into an intensive three-month process to achieve this, along with their four fellow participants—CondoGrade, which helps investors assess the financial health of condo associations; PeerRealty, a crowd funding platform for middle market real estate investors; HerbFront, a real estate search tool for legal cannabis businesses, and; Camp Native, a national platform for finding and booking the perfect campsite.
