"The objective is to keep all of the good things that the Amazon Webstore had going for it," says Karl Wellman

eCatalog Services, an approved solutions provider for Amazon Webstores, today announced the launch of a new solution for users of Amazon Webstores. Amazon announced its decision three weeks ago to cease the sale of any new webstores effective immediately and to stop support of all existing webstores in July, 2016, leaving tens of thousands of webstore users 15 months to migrate their products to a new website.
Already in the planning stage at the time of Amazon’s announcement, eCatalog and StratumWeb, developer of the InfiPlex™ Platform, have accelerated their plans and released the first Amazon cloud-based website that natively connects to Amazon.com for seamless management of inventory and pricing for both a merchant’s website and Amazon.com inventory, pricing and orders.
Sellers may choose from several templates which will accommodate a very wide segment of current Amazon Webstore subscribers. “We’re excited about these templates as they’re cutting edge – they use the latest designs”, adds Karl Wellman, President of eCatalog Services. “InfiPlex has not only all of the connectivity to Amazon which drove the merchant to the Amazon Webstore in the first place, but also more flexibility for the businessperson than was previously available.”
InfiPlex includes a fully functional online shopping system capable of meeting the demands of a small business, non-profit or a large online retailer. The Shop application is integrated with the core InfiPlex architecture, offering a platform that is much more than just an on-line shopping system. It can be scaled and customized to meet any demand and has several hosting options available.
“Amazon’s announcement came as a shock and rocked the ecommerce community”, recalls Wellman, “but it opened a real opportunity for online sellers. As a fully-vetted 3rd party supplier for Amazon, we are familiar with what Amazon’s webstore could and could not do. We took that knowledge and incorporated it into InfiPlex.”
An introductory price of as little as $499, which includes a fully functional webstore and the migration of product data from the merchant’s Amazon Webstore, is being made available throughout the month of April.
