On Internet of Things (IoT) Day, Blue Sparq, Inc. Introduces their New Vending Machine Telemetry Device Made for Vagabond Vending LLC.
Cape Coral, Florida (PRWEB) April 09, 2015 -- Blue Sparq, Inc., a custom engineering design and manufacturing company, is pleased to announce that Vagabond Vending, a cloud-based mobile software company, has begun shipping the Insight, a vending machine telemetry device, designed and manufactured by Blue Sparq, Inc. Connected to a Vending Machine, the Insight’s job is to transmit sales and inventory data to the operator via the cloud in real time. Now an operator using the Vagabond App can decide when to replenish the inventory of their vending machines. The Insight has remote automatic firmware update capabilities as well as remote monitoring, making this device easy to operate, troubleshoot and maintain. Companies need M2M / IoT devices like this to feed their enterprise applications with meaningful data in order to make informed decisions.
“Vagabond Vending needed to build a one-of-a-kind communications device that handled relatively complicated remote telemetry tasks in real-time. We needed it to be simple enough for anyone to install, reliable in any environment, and flexible enough to work in any machine on any network anywhere in the world. Blue Sparq took the request and ran with it — managing all aspects of design, architecture, planning and component vendor relations — with very little oversight. This allowed us to build our business while they built our future. Throughout the project, the entire Blue Sparq team showed the kind of honesty, teamwork and reliability that reminds me why I got into the innovation business in the first place. We launched the product in 2014 and are already into another project with Blue Sparq. I’d recommend them to anyone with similar needs” says Michael Lovett, CEO & Founder of Vagabond Vending LLC.
“We are pleased that Vagabond Vending selected us to design their Insight telemetry devices” said Jameel Ahed, President of Blue Sparq, Inc. “This project is a perfect example of our M2M / IoT product design capabilities. Not only are we familiar with the various technologies such as Ethernet, IEEE 802.11(WIFI), CDMA, GSM, Bluetooth LE etc. that are driving the M2M / IoT revolution, we also have the ability to manufacture our electronics with our own surface mount assembly line.”
Blue Sparq understands that after a prototype is approved, it makes sense to do a small quantity pilot production run. Since, they have production grade equipment; they can easily run a small volume at a much lower price when compared to having them made by a large volume manufacturer. The biggest advantage is that the first panel to come off the line will be inspected and tested by the engineers that designed it, ultimately ensuring a high quality product while saving their customers time and money. This and the experience of their multi-disciplined engineering team has resulted in Blue Sparq M2M / IOT devices, control systems, MPOS devices, capacitive touch interfaces that are a part of many successful products.
