Top Marine Leaders and Caregivers from 2014 Recognized at 4th Annual Marine Corps Association & Foundation Wounded Warrior Leadership Awards Dinner
Providence, Rhode Island (PRWEB) April 09, 2015 -- The Marine Corps Association & Foundation held the 4th Annual MCA&F Wounded Warrior Leadership Awards Dinner on March 28 in coordination with the Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment. The Awards dinner was held at the Omni Providence Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island and provided the opportunity to recognize key leaders and caregivers who deal with wounded Marines in 2014.
Major General Michael Regner, Readiness, Headquarters Marine Corps, the evening’s guest speaker, discussed the special challenges facing wounded Marines today and focused on the crucial role Marine, family and civilian caregivers play in fostering wounded Marine recovery.
Following his remarks, MajGen Regner helped present the evening’s awards which included the following:
- The 2014 Recovering Service Member of the Year Award, sponsored by Caterpillar and the Marine Corps Association & Foundation, was presented to Staff Sergeant Jeremy L. Lake, USMC.
- The 2014 Wounded Warrior Section Leader of the Year Award, sponsored by General Electric and the Marine Corps Association & Foundation, was presented to Staff Sergeant Zachary M. Siceloff, USMC.
- The 2014 Civilian of the Year Award, sponsored by MSC Industrial Direct and the Marine Corps Association, was presented to Dr. Lance Taylor.
- The 2014 Family Caregiver of the Year Award, sponsored by USAA and the Marine Corps Association & Foundation, was awarded to Mrs. Meghan Harms.
