ECONEF AND JASPER MORRISON – Two years ago Offecct started to support the Econef organization and its work to build orphanages in northern Tanzania. In 2015 Offecct expands its involvement in this project by together with British designer Jasper Morrison proudly present the chair Kali. Kali is a chair suitable for all kind of meetings and it will be used in the orphanage. A percentage of the revenue from the chair will be donated to Econef.
"The chair Kali was designed with a somewhat low technical aspect to allow the future possibility of it being produced locally later on. The character of the chair is I think slightly educational, and necessarily designed to have a long life," says Jasper Morrison.
OFFECCT LAB – The Offecct Lab was founded in 2013, a department within Offecct that focuses on developing and testing new techniques and sustainable materials. The work in Offecct Lab has resulted in critically acclaimed and award winning furniture that have challenged the conventional norms on the market. In 2015 Offecct is pleased to present two new products, the hanging acoustic object Membrane by David Trubridge and the meeting concept Omni, by Cecilie Manz.
AIR & SOUND – We are influenced by all our senses and an annoying sound can affect our health, increase the limit of stress and decrease our creativity. To deal with these problems, Offecct has developed acoustic panels that has set the standard on the market since 2002. New products in the 2015 collection are Notes by Luca Nichetto and Soundwave® Wall by Christophe Pillet.
