Fully integrated within JD Edwards, Profile Manager organizes the tasks into distinct processes, so that responsibilities can be shared between business and technical users as appropriate to individual companies’ working practices and needs. A workflow enables nominated users to request Role assignments on behalf of themselves or their staff. Requests are then routed to appropriate Approvers to decide whether or not the access should be granted, then approved requests are routed to an Assigner, who can optionally run Segregation of Duties checks before implementing the assignment in the live system. Notifications are issued automatically at all stages, and a full audit trail of all activity is maintained.

With the Profile Manager Mobile app, without needing to login to JD Edwards, managers on the move can quickly review and process any approval requests that are awaiting their attention, or submit new access requests, depending on the responsibilities that have been assigned to them.
