Members of the media are invited to attend the SAE International 2015 World Congress, which will be held April 21-23 at Cobo Center in Detroit.

Executive Leadership for the event is being provided by Honda, and the Tier One Strategic Partner is Continental.

The three-day event will feature a new area on the exhibit floor that will showcase the latest technical innovations and concepts critical to the advancement and growth of the automotive industry, and will enlighten industry on future concepts from thought leaders both in and out of the mobility industry.

Speakers will include:

  • Ray Kurzweil, Director of Engineering for Google will provide the Opening Keynote speech on Tuesday, April 21. Mr. Kurzweil will speak at 8:30 a.m. in the AVL Technology Leadership Center.
  • Tahmid Mizan, PhD, Senior Technology Advisor, Corporate Strategic Planning for ExxonMobil, will be the Opening Keynote Speaker on Wednesday, April 22. Dr. Mizan will speak at 9 a.m. in the AVL Technology Leadership Center.
  • Helmut Matschi, Member of the Continental Executive Board and Head of the Interior Division, will provide the Opening Keynote Address on Thursday, April 23 at 9 a.m. in the AVL Technology Leadership Center.
  • Frank Paluch, President of Honda R&D Americas, Inc., will be the Featured Banquet Speaker. Mr. Paluch will speak during the SAE World Congress Banquet, which begins at 6 p.m. in the Grand Riverview Ballroom B.
