Since Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, and Charlie Watts joined forces in 1962 in London, England, little did anyone know that they would still be putting on live shows more than 50 years later. In their career, The Rolling Stones have released 29 studio albums, 13 live albums, 24 compilation albums and in total, the group has sold more than 250 million records worldwide, making them one of the greatest artist in the history of the music business. Their success in the business has seen them earn induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame. They have also earned countless other awards and accolades throughout their career.
Even with all their achievements, one thing they are known for is their amazing live performances. They have broken numerous awards for their concerts including with their “Voodoo Lounge Tour,” which began in 1994, that grossed more than $320 million. At that time, this was the highest grossing tour of all time, but the group has since registered an even greatest tour in terms of money earned with “A Bigger Banger Tour,” which spanned from 2005 to 2007 and grossed more than $558 million. In total, The Rolling Stones have had four of the top 20 grossing tours of all time.
