eplexity has already been making waves in the Enterprise market with its OpenStack-as-a-Service managed data center solution “CloudXOS.” Now it’s getting the attention and market share from the Credit Unions with a much-needed Cloud and Disaster Recovery solution that meets the stringent industry requirements. eplexity’s new OpenStack Disaster Recovery solution with native Windows support provides the ability to easily enable backup and disaster recovery for any server to be replicated to over 15+ certified data centers within the US. The solution is integrated into eplexity's OpenStack distribution CloudXOS as a standard feature enabling any organizations to take advantage of point-click Disaster Recovery deployments, and it’s making a big difference in the Enterprise.
”We’ve seen dramatic improvements on how we manage, innovate and look at our environment with eplexity’s CloudXOS OpenStack and Disaster Recovery solution that gives us the native Windows support we depend on,” said Scott Preble, CTO at Open Technology Solutions.
In 2003, Bellco and BethpageTM Federal Credit Union (FCU) took advantage of the opportunities to create a successful alliance. The two credit unions formed Open Technology Solutions, LLC (OTS), a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO), focused on providing collaborative, technology-related services to a few large credit unions on the Fiserv platform. Bellco and Bethpage FCU were later joined by SECUTM of Maryland in 2007. Together, they have achieved the kind of scale none could have achieved on their own - more than 613,000 members and over $8 billion in assets - ranking them together as the fourth largest credit union in the country.
“A growing list of vendors in the OpenStack community are developing solutions running on top of OpenStack infrastructure, targeting specific industry verticals,” said Mark Collier, COO of the OpenStack Foundation. “The banking and fiserv vertical has adopted OpenStack aggressively, with brands like Wells Fargo, Fidelity, Bank of America and BBVA taking the lead. It's encouraging to see community members like eplexity extending the software's footprint in this market.”
