There is funding available for non-profits tackling the severe childhood nutrition epidemic spread nationwide. First Lady Michelle Obama’s ‘Let’s Move!’ initiative drew attention to the future of America’s children, and now federal and private funders have joined the fight in an effort to remove the problem within a generation. Funding is now available for programs encouraging healthy foods and nutritional diets, programs providing nutritional education, those providing physical education and sports programs and after-school and extra-curricular activities.

However, competition is fierce and no matter how good your project, writing successful grant proposals that win the funding needed isn’t that easy.
