Representatives with iti Direct Mail ( announced today that it has added new features that will allow customers to print highly customized and targeted mail pieces.

“Our new capabilities allow you to run as a single job, several letter versions with completely different stationary and text content in addition to different version envelopes to match the letters,” said Alan Barseghian, marketing director of iti Direct Mail, whose specialty product is printing mail-merged letters with personalized appearing envelopes that do not look like junk mail. “This is ideal for marketing firms which do advertising in a specific industry and send out numerous smaller jobs for multiple companies at the same time. Additionally, organizations which have many different independent satellite offices or even a single company where it wants to test different format mail pieces in a single mailing can take advantage of this capability.”

Barseghian explained that iti Direct Mail’s new features will benefit customers due to the fact that it is a proven that highly targeted mail pieces generate greater response versus less customized pieces.

“Now you can consolidate multiple smaller jobs into a single larger job and take advantage of higher discounts in both your mailing and postage cost,” Barseghian stressed, before adding, “Testing different marketing pieces in smaller quantities and measuring their results is a commonly used technique practiced in direct mail. Our newly added features makes this a snap. Now you can send out completely different looking mail pieces with different messages at the same time and see which performs better before investing in a larger mailing campaign.”

In addition to that, the company spokesman noted that iti Direct Mail can also handle a much larger range of "conditional" text.

“This feature changes the text based on certain conditions set by you,” Barseghian said. “This allows you to create content that is more suitable to each individual reader and deliver a more personal and relevant message. A more targeted and relevant message will certainly result in greater response and ultimately higher revenues. A more target offer will also result in shorter sales cycles and less customer service efforts by the advertiser. Mail pieces will also need to be easy to understand and follow.”
