Capital Continuity, a U.K. provider of replication, recovery and migration software for managed service providers (MSPs), today announced it has been named one of five Cool Vendors in the Business Continuity Management and IT Disaster Recovery Management, 2015 report by Gartner, Inc., the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company.

“We are honored to be chosen by Gartner as a Cool Vendor in BCM and IT DRM for 2015,” said Lee Exall, Managing Director of Capital Continuity. “We believe the selection validates our strategy to deliver interruption protection for organizations wherever they choose to run their systems.”

Gartner offers world-class, objective insight on a wide variety of IT solutions, and each year publishes a series of research reports that identify Cool Vendors in key areas of technology. The Cool Vendors in Business Continuity Management and IT Disaster Recovery Management, 2015 report – written by Roberta Witty, Research Vice President, John P Morency, Research Vice President and Dave Russell, Vice President and Distinguished Analyst – introduces leading companies helping IT DRM managers to “improve operational resilience by using backup and recovery for IT services heterogeneity, communications and collaboration tailored to manage crises, and automation to make the case for a strong continuity program.”

“This is a great opportunity to heighten awareness with managed service providers who are implementing DRaaS or struggling with existing solutions which limit their target audience due to flexibility for both virtual and physical deployments,” said Exall. “BIPs is unique in that it is platform-neutral, and can guarantee data protection and consistency between on-premises and cloud infrastructures.”

The Cool Vendors in Business Continuity Management and IT Disaster Recovery Management, 2015 report also points to the best-in-class service providers using BIPs as evidence of its caliber. “The best attestation of the quality and viability of the BIPS management platform, data protection and server/hypervisor independence is its set of Tier 1 service provider partners. These include Adam Continuity, HP, IBM, Oracle, Recovery Point, SoftLayer [part of IBM], Sungard Availability Services and TelecityGroup.”
