Samuel Merritt University will offer an online information session for RNs interested in becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner on April 23.

Samuel Merritt University, a leading health care training provider, will offer an online information session for Registered Nurses who wish to learn about training to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) on April 23, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. Pacific time. The Online Information Session offers information about the fully-online Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner program, which offers nurses in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Nevada and Ohio the opportunity to move into primary care.

FNPs can offer patients screening, diagnosis, and treatment, including prescriptions and referrals to specialists. As demand for health care grows, FNPs will play a critical part in expanding access to primary care services.
