With a major nationwide expansion well underway, The Shade Store, a leading manufacturer of couture window treatments for more than 65 years, is proud to announce its growth in South Florida. While already located in the Miromar Design Center in Estero, The Shade Store’s newest showroom has opened in the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) in Dania Beach, Florida. Known for its world-class quality, value and service, The Shade Store specializes in custom shades, blinds, drapery and hardware.

The more than 2,000-square-foot showroom features Roller Shades, Solar Shades, Roman Shades, Drapery, Wood Blinds, Woven Wood Shades, Cellular Shades, XL Pleat Shades, Vertical Systems, Cornices and Valances and Drapery Hardware.

Free swatches of The Shade Store’s exclusive 900+ material collection are available on site, as is a team of design experts who are ready to assist customers every step of the way. Design enthusiasts, homeowners and trade professionals alike are encouraged to stop by to see, feel and operate all of the custom window treatment options firsthand.

“Our goal at The Shade Store is to offer our customers something unique and back it up with world-class customer service—and that’s exactly what they’ll get when they come to DCOTA,” added McClelland. “And, this is really just the tip of the iceberg for us. We’re expanding across the country this year, doubling our showroom presence, and all the while we’ve improved on every aspect of the customer experience.”

At The Shade Store, every custom window treatment is handcrafted in the United States by a skilled artisan, hung and tested for quality assurance and ships free in 10 days or less. The Shade Store also offers a national network of professional measure and installation experts, as well as exclusive benefits to the trade.

This spring, The Shade Store will have a total of 25 showrooms open across the country, including five in the New York-Metro area, two in the Atlanta area including one in the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center, two in the Los Angeles area, two in the San Francisco area as well as in design centers including the Decorative Center Houston, the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, the Miromar Design Center, and the South Coast Collection in Costa Mesa.

By the end of the year, The Shade Store will continue to position itself as the leading custom window treatment provider with 40 showrooms open.
