Placentia, CA (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- The Home Depot®, the largest home improvement retailer in the world, is now offering select SunJack® portable power products for sale on HomeDepot.com. The kickstarter-funded SunJack® solar charger is manufactured by GigaWatt Inc, a California solar company that distributes and installs solar components.
“To have our solar charger sold by the world’s largest hardware retailer within 12 months of launching is a great milestone”, notes GigaWatt's CMO, Harold Tan, “it’s a testament to the power of crowdfunding, the growth of solar, and to The Home Depot’s vision.” Tan developed SunJack as an answer to his portable power needs while backpacking and adventuring, and also as a rapid energy-independence solution for developing nations that lack reliable power grids.
DIYers and home improvers can benefit from SunJack's portable power solutions as they work on construction areas void of power and prefer to use clean renewable energy instead of noisy dirty generators. The SunJack 14W solar charger holds enough power for up to four smartphones or one tablet after five hours of sun, and can recharge devices at wall outlet speeds.
The SunJack line also provides innovative lighting solutions with the CampLight™ and the LightStick™. The SunJack CampLight™ replicates an regular incandescent bulb, but can be powered independently from the SunJack or any USB power source without requiring electrical wiring. The SunJack LightStick™ is a next generation flashlight that provides a broad area of illumination while also acting as a powerbank to power phones, tablets, cameras, and other USB devices.
