On Top Visibility Offering Mobile Website Evaluations Ahead of Google Ranking Algorithm Implementation
HAUPPAUGE, NY (PRWEB) April 15, 2015 -- On Top Visibility is offering free evaluations for business websites to gauge their level of mobile compatibility, as well as giving a 10% discount on any new mobile sites.
“In our experience, about 90% of small business owners don’t have a mobile responsive site,” said General Manager John Diaz. “But if they want to have a position in the market and keep up with their competitors, they need to improve their sites if they are not already mobile responsive.”
In addition to addressing clear consumer preferences for mobile-friendly sites, On Top Visibility is hoping business owners will recognize that mobile compatibility will soon become a part of search engine optimization efforts.
The promotion began April 1, and the company has set no end date. Business owners should note, however, that Google will begin factoring mobile usability into its rankings for searches performed on mobile devices as of April 21.
In a rare move, the search giant explicitly stated in February that it would increase the weight its ranking algorithms attach to a site’s so-called mobile friendliness, and that the change will have a “significant impact” on mobile rankings. Industry experts are expecting a major shakeup, especially since Google generally rolls out its updates without warning, expecting that SEO businesses will analyze changes and catch up after the fact.
Diaz said his company’s evaluations are an easy step to take for anyone who’s interested in protecting their site traffic by seeing if their site complies with Google’s requirements.
He added that it’s important business owners understand how many search queries are moving to mobile. “The majority of what we do now is in the SEO area, with about 80% of our clients doing some search engine marketing in one form or another,” he explained, “and what we’ve been seeing is that now search queries are moving quickly from a traditional computer or laptop to mobile devices.”
That may be because consumers want to take advantage of the ease provided by voice-to-text search features on mobile devices, Diaz suggested, but the implications are clear regardless of the primary driver of mobile Internet traffic: “We think it’s critical for small business owners to have mobile responsive sites,” he concluded.
More information on both specials is posted at ontopvisibility.com, and Diaz said a phone call is all that is necessary to get started.
