Robin Baron To Design Double Vignette for Housing Works’ 11th Annual Design on A Dime Charity Event
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 21, 2015 -- Interior designer and lifestyle expert Robin Baron will once again showcase her design talent and philanthropic spirit as she participates for the third time in this year’s Housing Works’ 11th Annual Design on A Dime charity event. Robin is thrilled to partner with friend and client Ryan Serhant, actor, NYC real estate broker and star of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing New York, who was most recently featured in Noah Baumbach’s critically acclaimed film While We’re Young, starring Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts.
“I’m delighted to be back at Design on Dime this year to support an organization that means so much to me,” said Baron. “Being asked to create a double vignette is truly humbling and I couldn’t have done it without the fabulous donations from Ryan Serhant and his fiancé Emilia Bechrakis, as well as those from a long list of generous companies like Cliff Young, LTD, who donated and sponsored the other major pieces in our double vignette. This year is proving to be the most rewarding one yet!”
Ryan has graciously contributed some of his personal furniture to be sold in Robin’s space, which will also include over $100,000 worth of merchandise donated from top luxury brands such as Cliff Young, JAB Anstoetz, A. Rudin, Baker Furniture, Edward Ferrell + Lewis Mittman and Frette, among many others. Ryan and Emilia will also support the cause by appearing in Robin’s booth at the Opening Night VIP reception on April 23.
“Robin’s passion and commitment to giving back through charitable design events like Design on a Dime has been inspiring,” said Serhant. “Emilia and I are honored to be able to contribute to her vignette and play a part in raising awareness and money for such an incredible organization like Housing Works.”
Opening on April 23 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea, the three-day Design on A Dime event features over 60 of the world’s top interior designers, who create unforgettable room vignettes with new merchandise, which is donated and then sold for 50 to 70 percent off retail pricing. Proceeds will benefit Housing Works’ Hull Street Residence, a housing development project that will transform a vacant 6,000 sq ft. lot into a beautiful and safe home for 28 single, formerly homeless adults living with HIV/AIDS.
