Intelex takes part in Corporate 20-minute Makeover

We are always thrilled to support the 20-Minute Makeover and to make our community cleaner and greener.

Today Intelex took part in Toronto’s annual Spring Corporate & School 20-minute makeover event in conjunction with the “Clean Toronto Together” campaign, an initiative designed to help clean up local neighborhoods and promote environmental awareness by cleaning up litter and recycling around local businesses, schools and parks in the community. Intelex volunteers visited Stanley Park and worked together to rid our local park and children’s playground of the litter that accumulated during the winter months.

Led by the City of Toronto's Live Green Toronto team, the Clean Toronto Together campaign is a weekend celebration, which got kicked off today, that brings together thousands of Toronto residents, students, businesses, organizations and community groups to remove litter and keep our city clean and green.

“This is a great way to bring the team together and have an immediate impact on our local community. We are always thrilled to support the 20-Minute Makeover and to make our community cleaner and greener” says Mark Jaine, President and CEO of Intelex. We all take our responsibility to the environment seriously and have a shared responsibility to keep our communities green, so we are happy to do our part to make our planet a better place.”

The City's annual spring clean-up events are a great way to get together with friends, neighbours and co-workers to reduce litter in the local community. The 20-minute makeover started at 2:00pm on April 17 and it is estimated that more than 17,000 people from local schools, businesses and local residents will participate in this year’s event. This year, participants are asked to reuse a small plastic bag from home to collect litter and then pick up free gloves and GLAD garbage bags from participating Pizza Pizza retail outlets, Toronto community centres and civic centres.
