Downcast Systems Launches Innovative Brain Training Battle Game

Rome, GA (PRWEB) April 20, 2015 -- Downcast Systems just officially launched Puzzlewood Quests, an epic puzzle adventure game with casual role-playing elements.

“Doing simple math equations or word scrambles can improve your brain’s ability to solve problems, focus, and remember things, and I have played all the popular brain training games,” states Dave Haynes, CEO of Downcast Systems. “But I always reach a point with those games where I can’t improve any further, and there is no compelling reason to keep playing.”

Haynes says that Puzzlewood Quests aims to change that by adding a lot of replayability to the standard brain-training formula: multiple heroic characters, light-hearted storylines, an innovative puzzle-battle system, and the ability to customize your character’s attributes by gaining experience points and leveling up. Players can also earn new job titles based on their progress.

Haynes adds, “We really want people to continue improving their cognitive abilities, and we feel that Puzzlewood Quests is better than the competition because people have reasons to stick with it longer.”

There are currently 12 different game types:

  • Mini Sudoku
  • Word Scramble
  • Word Search
  • Math Star
  • Math Operations
  • Find the Enemy/Knight
  • Finish the Jigsaw Puzzle
  • Divisible Numbers
  • Match the Shadow
  • Maze
  • Counting Dice
  • Counting Coins

Each game type has multiple sub-types and varies in difficulty as the player progresses through the game’s 6 main worlds and 3 bonus worlds.

Downcast Systems plans to eventually expand Puzzlewood Quests with “Puzzle Packs” that will add more game types, as well as new characters with unique storylines.
