Tapcentive Demonstrates Mobile Engagement Platform to Gaming & Casino Industry Leaders

Tapcentive (http://www.tapcentive.com), an in-location marketing platform that connects digital and physical environments to attract new audiences and encourage visitors to stay longer and spend more, will be showcasing its mobile engagement platform in the Start-Up Launchpad competition at GiGse Totally Gaming in San Francisco, April 20-22 2015.

The Start-Up Launchpad has helped kick-start the growth of now-successful companies in the gaming industry, and Tapcentive was selected to introduce its innovative technology platform to an expert panel of judges. The panel comprises the gaming industry’s leading executives and investors from Caesar’s Interactive Entertainment, Bullpen Capital, and GamCrowd.

“We’re very excited to demonstrate our in-location platform at GiGse, as it provides us with an opportunity to educate casino operators of the untapped opportunities to engage players and casino guests while on-property,” says Dave Wentker, CEO of Tapcentive. “Our platform helps operators and mobile marketers encourage specific behaviors, steer foot traffic, increase revenue, and collect valuable new guest data.”

The Mobile Opportunity for Casinos
Everyone, including casino guests are tethered to their mobile phones today. This behavior creates tremendous opportunities for casino operators to engage guests on-property. Instead of interrupting guests by pushing coupons to their phones, with Tapcentive casinos deploy fun, interactive mobile game experiences throughout a property. When a guest engages with Tapcentive, their message to the operator is – “what would you like to suggest or offer me next?” With the guest’s attention focused, the operator can then encourage incremental spend on gaming, entertainment, and dining in ways not possible before.

The Tapcentive platform includes a cloud-based location and incentive manager, and features engagement hardware devices called Touchpoints, which utilize Near Field Communications (NFC) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to deliver incentives to any guests’ Android to Apple mobile devices. Guests simply tap their smartphones onto one of the Touchpoints located within the casino environment to begin receiving gamified rewards, such as randomized offers, sweepstakes, treasure hunt, coupons, instant-win gift card, etc.

“We’ve found that consumer-originated interactions, instead of ‘chance’ push messages, are critical for successfully driving consumer awareness and influencing both short- and long-term in-location behavior. Our Touchpoints provide ongoing, visible calls-to-action for patrons to engage over and over again while on-property,” says Wentker.

Tapcentive’s management platform also provides operators with unique customer data points that expand their understanding of customers’ on-property behaviors, “filling in the gaps” between activities where casinos already track behaviors. The additional, location-specific data will broaden operators’ understanding about guests’ favorite activities and incentives, engagement frequency and messaging resonance.

“Entertainment, fun and excitement are at the base of every casino’s mission, and mobile is providing a new channel and opportunity for operators to deliver this experience to their guests,” says Wentker. “Our technology takes mobile a step further and makes guest-originated mobile engagement part of a casino’s overall marketing strategy, creating a much more immersive experience that encourages guests to come back time and again.”
