This year it is easier than ever to experience the joys of sailing, whether you want to own, share, charter, join a club, or just learn the basics. The Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show, April 24-26, 2015, is brimming with sailing options.

The fourth annual in-water show will feature more than 100 new and brokered sailboats, including catamarans, monohulls, racing boats, family cruisers, day sailors, and blue water sailboats. Most new and brokered boats are available for immediate sale. The Boat List is on the show's website.
Sailors will enjoy boat show discounts, win valuable vacation-oriented door prizes, explore exotic destination resorts, and browse the latest in navigational equipment, sailing gear, high-tech electronics, boating accessories, rigging, and clothing.
Exciting and fun activities for all ages include:
Opening day celebration, Friday April 24th at 5:00 pm, sponsored by SAIL Magazine, Cruise Annapolis, and Trident Funding. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres catered by Paladar Latin Kitchen, live entertainment, cash bar, and a Foulest Foulies Contest sponsored by SpinSheet Magazine. Free to ticket holders.
Food and rum drink tastings in Susan Campbell Park provided by Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum Bar all weekend long.
Free sailboat rides provided by Annapolis Community Boating. Enjoy a 30-45 minutes sail in the Annapolis Harbor with experienced sailors. All ages welcome. Register at the show.
Annapolis Junior Keelboat Regatta: Sailing teams representing six regional high schools will compete for the traveling cup, designed by Weems & Plath, on Saturday April 25, 2015. Races begin at 12noon. Award ceremony in Susan Campbell Park at 3:30pm. Teams will use the J World Annapolis fleet of J/80's. The regatta will consist of one-design fleet racing using a low point scoring format. J World Annapolis, one of the top-rated sailing schools in the country, and the Annapolis Boat Shows have partnered to host the event.
Cruisers University, the most comprehensive cruising educational program offers one- to four-day packages by renowned cruising experts covering cruising destinations, boat systems, navigation, procedures, and all things related to the on-board cruising lifestyle. More than 40 different courses to choose from. Fee required. Pre-register online.
74-foot Schooner Woodwind Sailing Cruises will take visitors into the Chesapeake Bay. Additional fee.
Discover the newest fitness craze-- Stand Up Paddleboard or SUP. Watch Capital SUP perform daily dockside demos of the “gym on the water." Learn more about night paddling with LED lights illuminating the water from underneath--unlike anything you’ve experienced before!
