Pacific Charter Institute in Rio Linda, California, will move their paper-based application and student registration process online. InfoSnap will design a customized online application solution for families of potential students who want to apply to the school and an online registration solution to streamline new and annual student registration through seamless integration between InfoSnap and Pacific Charter Institute’s student information system (SIS), PowerSchool.
“Once the decision was made to move our processes online, we wanted to select a provider with strong integration capabilities to PowerSchool. The electronic format will allow families who have more than one child in the school to ‘snap’ data from one student to another during registration. The use of SmartForm™ technology, an intuitive tool built into the solution, will collect relevant data based on previously entered information or choices (grade, activities, medical history, etc.).
After families register their students for school, the data submitted by families is reviewed, polished, and formatted to meet Pacific Charter Institute’s policies and then delivered into PowerSchool.
“Receiving accurate and up-to-date data by the first day of school is essential. InfoSnap is not only going to eliminate much of the time our families spend on registration, but also the time our school staff spends deciphering parents’ handwriting,” notes McClain.

Pacific Charter Institute’s solution will launch at the end of May for online applications and registration.
