Integrated energy company uses Watchlock notifications to monitor its vehicles and facilities

Watchlock is a revolutionary padlock which provides notifications to the customer's security center any time it is opened or closed. The padlock has been designed to protect customers from burglary attempts, but one company took its unique traits beyond this purpose.

SASOL is a company specializing in integrated energy and chemicals. It employs 32,400 people in 37 countries and maintains world-scale facilities that produce liquid fuels, chemicals and low-carbon electricity.

The nature of the materials that the company works with makes monitoring delivery vehicles as they enter and leave the company's facilities a top priority, as regulations dictate strict security needs.
The company chose the WatchLock padlock as its monitoring solution.

The company's security management follows the padlock's opening/closing notifications as indications to whenever a vehicle enters or leaves the company's facilities.

When it receives an indication that a vehicle leaves its facilities, SASOL also activates the vehicle's tracking device from the exact moment it leaves, providing itself with accurate delivery accounts.

Following a successful pilot, SASOL intends to expand the use of the padlock different facilities, demonstrating how WatchLock stands at the forefront of today's security technologies.
