Comprehensive IT solutions company Kidwell announces it has hired John Hays as its new Director of Unified Communications, a newly-created position to account for expansion in its Phone Division

On Wednesday, April 1, IT, telephony and security system solutions provider Kidwell appointed John Hays to the company's newly-created Director of Unified Communications position.

Todd Long, VP of Marketing and Innovation, says Kidwell created this position in response to continued growth in its Phone Division. Hays will be responsible for managing Kidwell's phone system technology team and resources as well as some added marketing engagements.

"We’ve seen tremendous growth in demand for digital phone systems as well as newer voice over IP (VoIP) telephony systems, which is currently transitioning to cloud-based phone systems," Long says. "With the added focus that we’re putting on these services, having a Director of Unified Communications will improve our ability to grow and support the growth that we’ve seen, as business has just about doubled in the past year."

Hays, who has more than 20 years of sales and management experience, has spent the last eight years as Director of Architecture and Engineering at AOS, a consultative technology firm. These qualifications made Hays a perfect candidate for Kidwell's new position, Long explains.

"We were immediately impressed with John's background in sales, as it will help us keep that customer-oriented focus on the existing client base as well as expand our business into some new areas like Shoretel Sky and the cloud," Long says. "Figuring out how to make these transitions to include both IP-based systems as well as cloud-based systems is really going to be his focus going forward."

Ultimately, Long stresses that offering these technological advances with cloud-based telephony don't mean anything if Kidwell doesn't maintain its high standards of customer service;

"Having that added focus on managing the growth and the service side effectively is important so we maintain our high customer satisfaction rating in our area," Long says. "Our hope is that through this new position, John can help grow that area of the market for us as well as maintain that customer-oriented focus we’ve always had."
