Dance competition completely run by kids hosts its first event on Lifetime TV Network’s “Dance Moms.”

DanceKidsUSA is a unique Dance Competition that is run by KIDS. The announcer, backstage manager and all judges are ages 12-16. The kids run the entire competition, announcing the acts, judging the dancers and routines, and handing out awards at the end. For young dancers who compete each week, this offers a completely new and unique perspective on their performances.

The competitive dance community has welcomed this new approach to dance adjudication. Dance teachers and choreographers are excited about the new concept. Young dancers enjoyed the new experience of being judged by their peers (other kids).

DanceKidsUSA kicked off the current season with a dance competition in Los Angeles, CA. Abby Lee Miller and her elite dance team competed. The event was filmed for TV and aired on Lifetime TV Network on April 21st. Abby’s junior group routine won first place.

Dance Kid Alex, emcee, opened the show with details of how the company, DanceKidsUSA Inc started, and how the “kids” completely run the show. Dance Kids Alex G and Gayle, the backstage crew, made sure the event ran smoothly and on schedule. The judges, Natalie, Brianna and Carly, were candid and straightforward in their critiques and scoring of the dance routines.

The company is planning a series of competition events, with the next one scheduled for May 23rd in Las Vegas, Nevada. Abby Lee’s elite dance team will be attending this event as well, competing against the top dancers in the Las Vegas area. That competition will also be filmed for TV.
