Ocho (http://www.ocho.co), the New York-based mobile video social media network backed by Mark Cuban today announces the expansion of the company’s offices to Los Angeles. As the five-month old Ocho continues to grow its West Coast office, it is partnering with Andy Schuon, a renowned multi-platform media executive. Schuon will help to shape the content strategy and expand relationships.

Andy brings decades of experience in media to Ocho, having served as founder and CEO of numerous companies and held high-level positions at major media companies. He was previously chief digital officer at Ticketmaster/Live Nation, president of CBS Radio, GM of Warner Bros. Records. He was the founder of music television channels with Vivendi-Universal and Sean “Diddy” Combs, as well as head of programming at MTV, MTV2 and VH1.

“Andy brilliantly understands media and the Internet. He has built companies alongside the best, including legends Sean “Diddy” Combs, Mel Karmazin, Steve Lehman, and Jimmy Iovine, and we couldn’t be more excited that he’s partnering with us,” says Jonathan Swerdlin, co-founder & CEO of Ocho.

“I’m thrilled to work with Jonathan and Ocho’s sharp, young team that is part of the next generation of media and the Internet. Ocho 1.0 has been about establishing a community and we’ve seen terrific growth and engagement,” says Andy Schuon. “Ocho 2.0, coming soon, is going to challenge current ideas of video consumption and sharing with an experience that is revolutionary and addictive. I truly believe Ocho is a game changer in experiencing short-form video on any platform.”
