Simplified Solutions Now Makes Disability Insurance Business With Secura Consultants Even Easier!
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) April 27, 2015 -- Based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Secura Consultants is one of the few insurance marketing organizations in the country focused on delivering exemplary solutions in the income and asset protection markets as well as employer sponsored ancillary benefits. Spending two decades in the industry has afforded Secura Consultants the opportunity to consult with disability insurance carriers, helping to create programs to make doing business easier and quicker.
An example of these programs include the most recent announcement by Principal Financial Group (Principal). Principal recently released enhancements to the already successful Simplified Sales Program. Highlights of these enhancements include increased limits for "Combination" Simplified DI/OE. Business owners can now qualify for higher limits of $14,000/month (was $10,000/month), up to $16,000/month for Simplified DI Multi-Life/OE. In addition, Key Person Replacement has been added to this program.
Michael J. Sir, RHU, Regional Vice President of Principal, noted, “This program takes a good thing and makes it even better! We already have one of the shortest applications in the disability insurance industry, and our experience has shown that you can obtain the same quality underwriting result by asking fewer questions.”
Principal isn’t the only carrier striving to make business easier for their brokers. For example, The Standard Insurance Company (Standard) has released their own program in place to streamline the underwriting process for individual disability income applicants. To take advantage of Standard’s program, a teleapp is required. For most occupations, the maximum amount that can be issued is $6,000/month. All occupations are eligible as well as all option riders.
MetLife has a brand new process named Simplified Underwriting Program (SUP), which makes it easier for clients to obtain the income protection they need by requiring no additional medical or financial documentation. All they need to do is complete a full application and a telephone interview depending on age and benefit amount. This is available with both IDI and BOE. Benefits vary based on age and occupation.
“Making things easier for both producers and for clients is what our firm prides itself on,” explained Jeff Pantze, Executive Vice President of Secura Consultants. “We are always looking for new ways to make writing business less time consuming. You hear all the time about how time is money. If programs exist that eliminate some of the time that a case is in underwriting, that provides the producer additional time to search out new clients and new business.”
George G. Davidson, CLU, ChFC, RHU, DIA, CLTC, Chief Executive Officer of Secura Consultants, noted, “These programs show how far the disability insurance industry has come in its efforts to be buyer friendly. Many advisors ascribe negative connotations to underwriting based on practices that were replaced years ago. The new simplified approaches create fantastic client experiences.”
