Smarter Grid Solutions Delighted to be Awarded a Place on DECC Energy Technical Specialist Framework.
(PRWEB UK) 24 April 2015 -- Demand-side response is an area of expertise for Smarter Grid Solutions. Its Consultancy business has been working with customers on projects in the UK, Europe and USA on fast-acting demand-side response solutions, microgrids, distributed generation, and energy storage. The team recently worked with UK Power Networks on its Low Carbon London (LCL) project, delivering a number of critical trials that demonstrated the benefits of using distributed generation and smart electric vehicle charging to provide demand-side response.
The projects delivered under this new £10m framework will help to determine, evaluate and deliver UK energy and climate change policy.
“We are pleased to have been awarded a place on this DECC framework. The appointment recognises our specialist skills and Active Network Management knowledge, and the contributions we will make to the energy market and smart grid sector over the coming years.” says Mark Baxter, Consultancy Business Manager at Smarter Grid Solutions.
The framework will help to provide DECC with a summary of current energy technologies and practices in areas ranging from nuclear, wind, and solar to carbon capture and storage, heat networks, and many others.
