Each year, the Home Brew and Home Wine Making contests attract entrants from a four-state area who hope to win the title of Brew Master or Vintner of the Year.

The managing committee of La Crosse, Wisconsin’s, 13th Annual Between the Bluffs Beer, Wine and Cheese Festival (http://www.betweenthebluffsbeerfest.com) will crown the 2015 Brew Master and 2015 Vintner of the Year during an awards ceremony at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the South Side Oktoberfest Grounds in downtown La Crosse. The ceremony will take place on the Food Pavilion Area’s Music Stage.

The Between the Bluffs Beer, Wine and Cheese Festival is an annual celebration of craft brewers, vintners, and artisanal cheese makers from all over the country and is one of the La Crosse community’s biggest attractions, selling out annually. The 2015 Fest offers more tasting opportunities than ever before, with over 200 quality beers, 45 types of wine, and numerous gourmet cheeses from around the state of Wisconsin. In addition to the Home Brew and Home Wine Making contests, there will be live music, food, and the all-new Beer Exhibiting Specialty Traits (B.E.S.T.) Beer Competition.

Each year, the Home Brew and Home Wine Making contests attract entrants from a four-state area who hope to win the title of Brew Master or Vintner of the Year. In addition to a year’s worth of bragging rights, the winners also take home VIP Tickets to the 2016 Fest along with additional prizes. The crowning will take place after medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each of the categories.

Beer Categories include: Specialties, Belgian/Strong, Dark, Lagers, Pale, IPA, Wheat/Belgian, and Sour/Mead/Cider.
Wine Categories include: Apple, Cranberry, Local Red Grape, Local White Grape, Other Fruit, Red Grape Kit, and White Grape Kit.

The Home Brewing Contest is managed (in collaboration with Between the Bluffs) by the L.A.G.E.R.S. and is BJCP sanctioned. The Wine Making Contest is managed by Between the Bluffs.

NOTE:    MEMBERS OF THE PRESS covering this event must be aged 21 or older and must check in at the Front Gate where they will be issued a FREE Designated Driver wristband to gain entrance. Please have valid photo ID for age verification.
