New general mananger to run Ohio's oldest private corporation

The Verdin Company announces that Tom Shepherd has joined the company as its new general manager.

Tom Shepherd’s responsibilities include day-to-day management of the company, focusing initially on manufacturing and accounting processes. Shepherd comes to the 173-year-old bell and clock company after an extensive management career serving in senior operational and financial positions of several privately-held and family-owned companies in both Cincinnati and Rochester, NY. He assisted these companies with long-range goals and transitions. Shepherd is also a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati and with the Next Generation Institute of the Goering Center at the University of Cincinnati.

“Tom brings a valuable perspective to the company,” said The Verdin Company President, Jim Verdin. “His experience and philosophy are a perfect match for the company, and I look forward to seeing continued business growth with his management of the day-to-day operations of the company.”

The six-generation Verdin Company of Cincinnati, OH has been in the business of clocks and bells since 1842.
