Comprehensive product development firm, bb7 announces a new leadership role aimed at improving program management quality, cycle time, and cost performance by improving the coordination between business and technical dimensions of developmental project effort. bb7’s Randall Iliff will join an alliance formed in 2011 by the International Council of Systems Engineers (INCOSE), the Project Management Institute (PMI), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Consortium for Engineering Program Excellence.
Iliff, a founding member of INCOSE, will serve as the INCOSE representative. “I am honored to participate in such a prestigious group,” said Iliff. “A robust study was conducted at MIT showing key pain points in the Program Manager/Systems Engineer interaction and how those pain points directly impact business. This led to publication of The Guide to Lean Enablers for Managing Engineering Programs in 2013. That work won the prestigious Shingo Research and Professional Publication Award. There’s a lot more still to share,” said Iliff.
Iliff is a recognized expert within program management, systems engineering, systems integration and product development. He is a founding member of INCOSE, the premiere Systems Engineering association that now boasts over 10,000 members worldwide. Iliff is also a 15-year member of PMI (the largest organization of professional project, program and portfolio managers). Further, he is a regular speaker at INCOSE events and other global conferences covering topics on nearly every aspect of enterprise wide system excellence.
