Hawaiian Beach Rentals Offers Local-approved, Unique Activities on Popular Hawaiian Islands
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) April 28, 2015 -- Have you been to Hawaii a few times and visited all the major attractions? You have seen the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu, helicoptered over Kona to see the steaming volcanos on the Big Island, snorkeled in the Molokini Crater off Maui, and even floated an inner tube down the irrigation canals of Kauai. You love visiting the islands, but this time you may want to try some new adventures.
Hawaiian Beach Rentals has put together an impressive list of unique things to do on the islands as recommended by the locals. Try a few of these activities on your next island vacation to have a real native adventure.
Kauai-- Wailua River Kayak to Uluwehi Falls
AT A GLANCE:
Highlights: A relaxing paddle upstream leads to a hike through jungle and rainforest to your ultimate destination – the 200 foot tall Uluwehi Falls.
Activity Level: Moderate to strenuous based on length of trip and trail conditions
Options: Guided or self-guided by renting a kayak for the day.
Hazards: The warnings for this experience are mostly for the hiking portion; the trail is well worn and extremely muddy at times. Slipping and falling on the trail is to be expected during extreme muddy conditions. At the waterfall, beware of falling rocks. On the river, beware of other boat traffic.
Maui--Olowalu Ancient Petroglyphs
AT A GLANCE:
The dirt road leading up to the petroglyphs can be accessed from the side of the Olowalu General Store, located off of mile marker 15. Visitors can park near the water tower and walk up, or drive further up the road to be closer to the cliffs. Head up past the water tower toward the mountains, and follow the path as it curves around to the start of the cliffs.
To preserve the historic site, it is important to stay on the path and avoid touching the carvings, which include depictions of animals, humans, and sails.
Big Island-Hawaii--Night diving with Manta Rays
At A GLANCE:
This activity brings light to the nighttime ocean - illuminating a world few ever see. As you float on the water’s surface as a group, the undersea world yields mantas out of the shadows on the hunt for plankton gathered in the light shining down beneath your floodlight float. Filter feeders, the mantas harmlessly sweep in circles bringing a close encounter with these gentle ocean creatures.
Oahu--Zip Line at Keana Farms
AT A GLANCE:
The three hour experience features six dual-line zip lines, a 4-wheel drive adventure, repelling, navigating across a sky bridge, rope-climbing, historical and cultural lessons, and a sampling of tropical fruit.
Guests will embark on an exciting ATV ride through the jungle to begin the adventure, and then make their way through a course of six (soon-to-be seven) zip lines, with many other additional activities to experience. Dual-lines means that guests can zip in pairs, side by side, rather than one person at a time. The zip lines go over tropical forests, caves, and their commercial working farm, all with breathtaking views of the island's exquisite natural beauty.
