Triumvirate Environmental Rolls Out 30+ Must-Read University Environmental Health and Safety Webpages
Somerville, MA (PRWEB) April 30, 2015 -- An EH&S page is an integral part of many Universities’ websites. EH&S pages help university EH&S departments share important information and procedures with the student body and public while giving extra support to the completion of regulatory compliance and safety responsibilities.
Creating a standout EH&S page that’s actually useful is difficult. It’s hard to sort through the clutter and figure out what’s awesome, what’s innovative and what’s even true. Because of this difficulty, some pages end up as a chaotic list of hyperlinks.
As a solution, Triumvirate Environmental is creating a complete resource library of the most useful webpages for universities this includes details on why the pages are useful and what categories they’re strong in.
Triumvirate scoured the web to find standout EH&S webpages for educational institutions. What did they find? The best places to get EH&S information for educational institutions is from the institutions themselves. The collection of these resources will allow educational institutions to share their thoughts and learn from each other in true collegiate fashion.
The Categories
Triumvirate’s must-read EH&S pages are broken into eight categories including: Building and Facilities, Chemical Safety/Inventory, and Emergency Protocol.
“We thought a lot about which categories to include and even whether or not to include categories at all,” said Triumvirate’s Vice President of Operations Tim Mooney. “Ultimately we figured it could help people find what they’re looking for. We separated standout pages into common categories we’re asked about by our clients.”
Who Made the Cut and Why
The final list includes 29 universities of varying sizes and specialties from across the country from Harvard University to University of Alaska.
According to Mooney Triumvirate considered ease of navigation, innovation and use of new tools or media, thoroughness of information and aesthetic when determining which pages should be included in the final list.
Triumvirate sorted through hundreds of pages to determine which ones made the cut but admits the list is by no means complete.
Director of Environmental and Emergency Management for UMass Lowell. Richard Lemoine called the new library a “good resource of peers.”
“Thanks TEI for the time and effort to provide such pertinent U/C EHS information and programs,” he added.
The Program
“We see this as a work in progress and encourage any universities who think they should be added to reach out to us,” said Mooney. “The goal is to create a collection of the most helpful pages and a network of people who really care about this industry. We hope our list continues to grow.”
Triumvirate hopes this list will help set the standard for University EH&S webpages.
“Nothing exists like this right now,” Mooney said. “We think it could really become something useful."
